HFC: Day One

I write about eating disorders because...

information and the exposure of this serious issue is severely under-played. Eating disorders affect so many people and increasingly so. The media attention paid to weight, eating habits and the importance of looking beautiful has a considerable affect on everyone. Men, women, adults and children are affected by these media portrayals and it is undeniable that they can have negative effects.
It is, therefore, vital that members of the public are allowed access to information that is unbiased and, most importantly, correct!
I write about eating disorders because I think it's very, very important!

Bloody Hell!

When was the last time I posted ey? It's been about a million years.
Well, I got onto my masters degree, am working hard at my revision and have been mooching along just fine really.

I decided to resurrect the blog because of a campaign starting in May called Hungry For Change.
It's aim is to highlight the problems faced by those with eating disorders and bloggers have been challenged to post everyday using a series of prompts.
I wanted to get involved and do my bit because eating disorders just don't get the press they should and a lot more needs to be done to help those struggling with one.
So, starting on May 1st, I'll be posting everyday to help the Hungry For Change campaign.

See you soon special peeps!

The Bellboy of Emotional Baggage

The past few days have been a leeeeetle tricky.
I had to do a 9 hour shift last night. It was fun but maaaan was it tiring so I feel completely, physically and mentally wiped out.

I had to cut my nails short so I wouldn't scratch but it's not helping as much as I'd like it to. It's so frustrating. I want to stop.

Grr, my muscles are aching, I think I'll turn in.
Love you all

Free as a bird!

Totally just finished my last exam of the summer!
No more university work for a few weeks *happy dance*.
I hereby, solemnly swear, to spend the next couple of weeks playing x-box, drawing, writing and faffing around on teh interwebs.
I'll also be scouring the world looking for a part-time job, taking my dear, sweet nanna to a wedding and going down saath the look at Kent University.
VEEERY ESSCITED hehe.

So I wanna do a Masters in Forensic Psychology. Mega tricky times me thinks. But I also wanna do it down south or near the beach because that's where I originally hail from and, dammit, shizz is just nicer down there.
Not knocking the midlands (because I love it here) but I need warmer weather, sandy (stony) beaches and lovely buildings. StarGirl has extravagant tastes.

Okay, question of the day to be found below:

Have a good day sugar puffs!

StarGirl GO!

Everyone is a superhero! Especially girls and women and lasses. And one of the most important things for supergirls to do is to love.
Love is like that cheeky, sweet cookie lurking in the bottom of the cookie jar, high up on the shelf.
It's naughty and bad for you but it hits the right spot exactly when you need it. And in those times when you need it, it's the best thing you could ever think of.

I'm a romantic, it's in my bones and flows through my heart.

I love love! Everyone should feel loved and hugged and special.
So that's my supergirl super power!
